Spring Colour - The Bluebell Woods, Fields of Gold, Pink Blossom and Garden Blooms

May 11, 2015

This Spring has been spectacular for colour and over the past couple of weeks I've walked through fields of gold, woods filled with bluebells, stood looking up at the pink cherry blossom, cut pretty blue forget me nots for the kitchen and still been in love with all the yellow daffodils. I was clearing out my camera before going away so these are a few of my favourite Spring photos from the past few weeks.
{Bluebell Woods}
A couple of Thursday's ago, the last day of our mini heatwave and proper sunshine, Ben and I headed into Berkhamsted, a favourite local market town of ours, for a date night dinner before going up the hill to Ashridge. Dockey Wood is famous around here for spectacular bluebells. We were probably about a week early although they were gorgeous with the sun rays shining through. It was beautiful though with the sun going down, it being warm enough to not need to wear more than a summer dress and sandals for an evening stroll.

{and then back to see the bluebells with the pup and my Mumma a couple of weeks later..}

{Fields of Gold}
I love Oilseed rape fields at this time of year, especially with a bright blue sky.

{Nature in the home}
I've been picking flowers from the garden and allotment, forget me not's, bluebells and cow parsley everywhere!

{Pink Cherry Blossom}
Is my favourite!! Well, I think I say that about all types of blossom but pink pom pom cherry blossom really is something special.

{Garden}
No more spring bulbs but they were pretty while they lasted. In with all the summer flowers now though.

The best time of year. I couldn't imagine living in a country without seasons.
