A few weeks back the lovely Cristina Rossi, a wedding photographer, came to take some photos of the pup and I for her personal project on dogs. It's a project that will eventually be curated into a book that documents the relationship between owners and their four legged friends. Riley, a cockapoo who's 6 already, brings me so much joy and I have so much love for this little guy and our days/walks together. I'm thrilled that we have these photos to treasure. Also I love how Cristina has captured the new house too.

I haven't written many food posts on here, probably only this one or this. I just find writing about interiors or travel or our weekends a bit more fun, and pretty. My husband and I both LOVE food but blogging it just doesn't seem to happen very often, mostly because we're too starving to take photos of meals before wolfing them down, or they always seem to fill my camera with steam. However it's a post that's been requested by a few of you {hey Emily and Kayleigh} over the past couple of months so I thought with the changing seasons it would be a good time to actually sit down to write a bit more. Some of our favourite weekday dinners below, as well as the smoothie recipe that we have every single morning.

Hello! I'd been thinking of writing a Q&A post for a while, a kind of 'ask me anything'. This all started from a tweet on Twitter, Phoebe and I both had the same thoughts - we've been wanting to do something like this for a while as we get asked a lot of questions on Instagram. However we feared that if touting for questions for a blog post we wouldn't actually get asked anything and would hear the tumbleweed rolling on by. So we decided to do it together and started the hashtag #askphoebeandrebecca. It had such a great response and I've loved seeing some of the things that you've asked us, even some of the cheeky stuff. I've answered the personal questions below and then will pass you over to SYGM with Phoebe for all the wedding/honeymoon talk I've answered there tomorrow afternoon. Ready for some reading?? I've split it into sections and truth be told I'm a tiny bit nervous about pressing publish!

I'm just going to stand up and say it. This week has been a BOOOM week. Exciting new work developments for both Ben and I, new gym training that I've smashed this week and actually felt energised and excited for, feeling so much better after a number of colds recently and just generally taking a step back to look at achievements. My friend Lucy said to me, in these exact words: 'You should never ever be ashamed to stand up and say 'I'm good at something!' and be proud when you've smashed it #GIRLBOSS'. Which I wholeheartedly agree with but I do feel that there is this taboo around over-sharing or praising yourself. Where has that come from in this society? Why should we feel bad, or even doubt ourselves about whether we should share in case it comes across as bragging? Or because of fear of negative comments. Even writing this feels a bit too self-indulgent sometimes. But everyone should take some time to feel proud of their achievements every once in a while. Of course not every week is fabulous, and I'll always admit when I've had a bit of a blah week. But this week should be celebrated. Booom. Anyway, in other news... How has your week been? Are you excited that it's Friday?? Some thoughts, and photos below.

The lounge was always a show-stopper in this house. On the very first viewing, we fell in love with the huge south-facing bay window and all the character. This part of the house was a Victorian extension. It was huge, almost half of the house. But it needed a little vision, a big room is lovely but you need to be able to use the space well. We joked at how we'd need to buy gigantic sofas to even have a chance of filling it! The layout that the previous owners had felt awkward and cluttered, almost like a nursing home with random armchairs scattered around and a grand piano! We quickly set about thinking what we could do to transform it and it's now our favourite room in the house. Before, allll the during photos/what we did and after photos below. It's a pretty long one but I like having a proper record of it all.

Dahlias are one of my favourite flowers, partly because they're so ridiculously pretty and intricate in their petals but also because they just bloom and bloom away from the beginning of summer right up until the first frosts. I've been a bit obsessed with them this summer and have had lots of requests for a post on how to grow them. They're not like regular bulbs that will just shoot after putting into the ground or perennial plants that you leave in the ground and will come back year after year. Dahlias are grown from tubers and take a bit of care at the start and end of the season but will then reward you with beauty and cut flowers all summer long and crucially into autumn when everything else starts to look a bit bare.

Hello, Happy Friday! You made it through another week. Although I don't really like this countdown/wishing the week away to get to the weekend. As my Dad always told me, if you do that then you end up wishing about 4/7 of your life away. Which is quite sad when you think about it. So yes I'm always glad when Friday arrives as I love relaxed weekends with my husband and not having to rush around like I do Monday-Friday. But I love the weekdays too. Mostly. A little round up from this week/planning for the weekend/photos from last weekend below.{Writing this to take my mind off the fact I have glass stuck deep in my foot ahhhh}

The full transformation post on our bathroom. Such a difference to how it was before! And is it wrong to admit that sometimes I walk in and think 'wow this is actually our bathroom', I love it.

Hello! Just a quick post from me today as I've just written a hugee feature over on So You're Getting Married all about Soho Farmhouse {here}. I wanted to share some extra photos below to look back on. It was both the dreamiest, funnest, craziest yet classiest place ever and I didn't ever want to leave. Bikes, boats, barns, converted milk floats and amazing Little House on the Prairie style cabins. Back soon! R <3 xx
