Morning! I hope you're having a lovely week so far? I can't quite believe that we're so close to being in June already. May has flown by and suddenly it's time to think about Father's Day which is fast approaching {Sunday 17th June this year}. My Dad will always say 'don't get me anything' for both Birthday's and Father's Day - I think it's a Dad thing?, but my brother & I want to at least get him something thoughtful or fun as a reminder of how much he means to us. It was his Birthday a couple of weeks back and he was away for it, so I wanted to combine both for a joint celebration in the middle of the two dates. For unique, personalised gift ideas I turned to notonthehighstreet {a brand I've loved for years and years} and was so thrilled when they had such a big range of BBQ products to choose from. My Dad is a total BBQ king and some of my happiest memories together have been him cooking a BBQ for us all with family and friends over the years, whether it's pouring with rain in the middle of March {we start early!} or a balmy hot summers evening, at home or on holiday, you can find him outdoor grilling. I was so impressed with the wide range of personalisable gifts to choose from to celebrate him, and all of the years of him BBQing for us. You can see more below;

Last week we took off on a short-break to Sardinia for a couple of days. I was reviewing for Mr & Mrs Smith in secret {for their anonymous review section which is always fun pretending to be Mrs Smith for a couple of nights. I'm sure I've mentioned time & time again just how much we adore their handpicked selection of luxury, boutique hotels across the globe} and whilst I'd always thought how beautiful Sardinia looked, it was never top of our radar for visiting until they asked if I'd like to visit. With flights being super cheap with easyJet, and the planning of the hotels taken care of {we just added an extra night on at the end with one of their other properties}, it seemed like a no brainer. And it turned out to be such a hidden gem and a really gorgeous break. I hadn't realised quite just how beautiful Sardinia was. It helped that visiting at the end of May turned out to be the perfect time of year and it felt like we had the whole island to ourselves at times {avoid the peak summer months of July & August unless you want to be surrounded by Italians!}. Lots of you requested a blog post on the places that we visited, and of course I couldn't resist sharing my photos to look back upon too...

Happy Friday! Are you as excited as I am for the Royal Wedding this weekend? And the weather forecast for that matter. This week I've been sharing outdoor living inspiration with The White Company and we've talked about hosting in general {and flower prep} along with BBQ and recipes. Today I wanted to quickly share some ideas for your garden decor, probably the most important 'room' of your house in the summer. I know that for us, the minute that it's a warm sunny day, we just want to spend as much of it as possible outside. For hosting dinner with friends & family, making an outdoor office or just taking five minutes to soak up a little sunshine in the middle of a busy day, I'm sharing the products that we can't be without this summer...

The change in season gives me so much new enthusiasm for cooking and coming up with new salads, fresh easy BBQ food and summery desserts. There's so much to celebrate food wise at this time of year too with asparagus, the first of the courgettes, Jersey Royal potatoes, summer berries and warm, al fresco evenings to enjoy it all. It's not just about the food though, I'm always on the lookout for serving dishes and platters to share it all with friends & family when entertaining - naturally I turn to The White Company. This weekend we hosted the first BBQ of the season at ours and I wanted to come up with something different to the usual burgers and sausages that we'll all no doubt do to death this summer. After a little reciple planning I created a feast and it was SO delicious - if I do say so myself. Lots of you were asking for the recipes so I've shared all the food below; {this is part two of three in this outdoor living collaboration with The White Company}.

Morning! How's your week going so far? If you follow me on Instagram then you might have seen that we hosted our first garden party of the season on Saturday, in which I partnered up with The White Company to showcase some of their gorgeous outdoor living collection for this summer. I'm always excited to see what products they'll bring out each season, they just get it so so right and their ranges just slot right into place in our home and garden. I've been buying from them for years, and I particularly love how they repeat old favourites {so you can add to your collection like heart serving bowls, bunting or cushion pads} but equally give you some new inspiration. This is the first of three blog posts this week in which I'll be sharing some ideas for hosting, first up, the party prep. Then later this week I'll be sharing BBQ-recipe inspiration and garden decor.

I guess you must know by now how much I adore filling our walls with prints and gallery displays. It gives so much personality to a room and makes me feel so happy when I look at artwork. Whether it's photos of happy memories or evocative abstract artwork, I couldn't imagine our house without framed prints adorning at least one corner of every room. They add so much colour without you having to commit to bold paint colours that you might get tired of after a while. You may remember me talking about the Swedish brand Desenio {past posts here and here} that I've ordered from time and time again. So when Desenio asked if I'd like some help to decorate our new bedroom and bathroom, I of course said yes. You can see the prints that I've chosen, and find an exclusive discount code below.

You guys, we made it! Through the wet, muddy, cold, bare days of winter. We're officially out the other side, into May, into sunny days and light evenings, ready for BBQs {we had our first on Thursday and another last night!}, this long bank holiday weekend with the promise of sunshine, England is filled with green once again, there's beautiful blossom all around, the garden is filling out and tonight as I type Ben and I actually ate outside - klaxon! So what better time than to refresh the garden ready for the whole season ahead. Ever since we finished our patio and kitchen last summer we were trying to decide how to fill the space. The gravel across the whole area made it look vast, and er a little beachy {but not in a good way!}. I remember sitting by our fire last Winter, the rain pouring down outside, drawing out plans with Ben on our laptops as to the inspiration that we had for the area and slowly but surely it's all come to life. Hello new outdoor seating area of my dreams! I've teamed up with M&S to share some of my favourite items from their new outdoor living range that have transformed this area into somewhere I think we'll be spending a lot of time around this summer. And tonight's dinner on the outdoor sofas {it feels so cool to say that} will hopefully be the first of many...

Seeing as you all asked so nicely for the recipe of this lemon cake that I made for my Mum's Birthday this week I thought I'd share a few cake baking secrets before the long weekend in case you're in a baking mood...

Carrying on from Part One {here}, the second part of our week in Orlando. We chose to just spend three days at the theme parks and really enjoyed the rest of our time in Orlando exploring some of the other things the area has to offer and discovered some new favourites.

Hello! We're back from America after such an incredible, fun filled couple of weeks. It felt like the longest trip? I think because we packed so much in. It had been five years since our last trip to Orlando and I'd forgotten just how much there is to do there. It was a family trip, with my husband, parents & brother and despite us all being grown up, we couldn't travel to Florida without revisiting some of the parks.
