A HUGE photo catch up from the last few weeks if you'd like to see {the beginning of May until now}, I've been rubbish with blogging recently - whilst I've had some spare time waiting for this baby to arrive, I just haven't really felt like opening up my laptop. So anyway, a huge photo dump of happy memories for me to look back upon - alas they're not really in any order but I've kind of given up minding right now. You've probably seen most of these on Instagram/stories but I wanted to have them on here too. And er, sorry not sorry for the amount of bump photos it includes, she's just getting so big that I want to capture it at every stage! Also, can we talk about this crazy amount of rain we've been having? Looking back on these photos makes me seriously miss the rare sunny, warm days that we have had so far. And I feel like most of these photos could be captioned 'before it started pouring down'. Please come back soon summer!

Now that the baby could arrive at any time, I thought it would be fun to list a few things that I'll really miss about pregnancy after the past nine months, along with some things I'm looking forward to again once it's over. Pregnancy for me has been such an incredible, special time that I've felt so lucky to really enjoy and really hope that I'll experience again in the future. Would love to hear what you'd add to these lists...

I still remember my very first foray into the world of baby clothes. Browsing the Zara app after my 12 week scan, not having dared to look at anything before that. But then feeling ok to buy just a couple of little bits, it feeling so special to start thinking about a real baby, our baby!, wearing them in the future. We then waited until our twenty week scan to look at much more, we didn't know what we were having and although I very much love neutrals for newborns, just felt like waiting a bit longer.
Aside from a couple of sale buys in California when we were out there in January, we waited until after the scan, and then in fact after we'd opened the envelope telling us if we were having a boy or a girl! From then on, things rapidly sped up. Both in the way that time was flying all of a sudden, and of my new shopping addiction... This whole new world of baby clothes was a super cute one, especially after we'd found out that we were having a girl {there's just SO much choice and SO many adorable things out there for girls}. But weirdly, I also found this new habit really tough to figure out. How much would we need? What size should I buy that in? How hot will it be when she's born? How big will she be? I really love that, but what would be the best season or age for her to wear it in? That's cute, but will it be practical with an inevitable nappy explosion or when she's crawling or being picked up? I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something she'll quickly grow out of {I quickly realised just how crazily priced some baby brands are!} and would we have another girl in the future or would it be a one time only kind of thing? - which felt incredibly wasteful. But equally she'd only be tiny once, and so I couldn't resist some cute clothes.
All those ramblings aside, it seems like lots of you from Instagram feel the same, and so this blog post has been hotly requested! I'm of course no expert, and there's no right or wrong at this anyway, but I thought I'd share what we've bought so far, some favourite brands I've discovered, and at the very least some pretty cute photos of some of my favourite pieces...

All of these recipes are suitable for freezing {aside from the granola}, just label them with the date you've made them and keep a note of what you’ve made to remind yourself. I’ve also included some snacks/energy bar kind of things as I’ve heard that if you’re breastfeeding you’re starving hungry and just can’t eat enough. So I don’t want to be reaching for rubbish, instead I can just turn to the freezer! {we’ve got a big chest freezer to store these in}.
- update, I typed out so many recipes then realised a couple are copy-righted as they only appear in the books! So have had to remove, so sorry. But most are here or linked, or details of the book they're in.

It's official! I'm on maternity leave and into the final month of pregnancy. I've been so excited for this time to come, and although it's tricky knowing when to stop when you're self employed {I just get statutory maternity pay so we've had to budget accordingly, and I'll probably start working again around September time which feels incredibly soon but equally I don't work in a regular industry! And of course, am so lucky to be able to work from home on projects most of the time so it's not like I'll have to leave the baby to go to an office. But equally, it's not like regular maternity leave where you'd get a few months of full/half pay and not be expected to even check your emails. But that's the price you pay for being freelance I guess and most of the time it has so many benefits!}, but I wanted to give myself these last couple of weeks before the baby arrives to finish getting organised, not feel stressed or chained to my laptop, and to just nest and also enjoy this time and rest up too. And now it's here already! I joked on Instagram the other day 'please don't come early, baby' now that I've planned these next couple of weeks out, but lots of you said that your babies did actually arrive early! I thought I'd share a few things that are on our list for these last couple of weeks to get organised {sorry if these tenses don't make much sense, I'm writing this in stages as we've already done some things, but still have others left to do! But wanted to note them all down in case it helps you with similar.}

It's that time of year again, BBQ season! From around May to September, we live for cooking outside as much as possible. I feel like cooking anything on the BBQ makes it taste better, and doesn't really feel as much as a chore as cooking inside can sometimes feel like? It's summer, the evenings are light and balmy, you can throw together some salads and then grill whatever meat/fish/veggies that you feel like. There's less to clear up and having people over for BBQs, and all sitting out in the garden, is definitely easier {and more fun} than serving a big roast dinner. I think I got my love of BBQing from my parents, they've always loved to BBQ whatever the weather! I share a lot of BBQ photos on Instagram and recently a few of you asked for a blog post with some inspiration for this summer so I thought I'd put together a quick post before I finish up for maternity leave. {A lot of these recipes were already on the blog but scattered across different posts over the last couple of years so thought I'd collate them here to make it easier to find}.
