A few photos from last weekend when I threw a little garden party/BBQ for Ben's Birthday. It was such a gorgeous evening and we sat out until late under the festoon lights without feeling the teeniest bit chilly. England is hardly ever like that so we sure made the most of it. P.S. I know I always promise interior posts and people have requested garden/allotment which I will get round to, I'm just making my way through all the photos of late! 

It's Ben's Birthday today. To celebrate we're hosting a big BBQ at ours this evening, there will be lots of cake and a build your own burger bar. I never know what to buy Ben for his Birthday so this year I decided to take him to Whitstable for a night. We've always wanted to go, and on reading the Easyjet magazine that was stuffed into the back of our seat on the flight back from Venice, we read about the Sportsman Pub just down the road from Whitstable. Michelin starred food in a laid back setting. So I had a google and booked us a little fisherman's hut for the night and lunch at what is now known as the UK's number 1 restaurant! It was a lovely short break last weekend with one of the best lunches we have ever had. It's always lovely to escape for to the seaside, even just for one night. Ohhh Nutella Cheesecake. I mean, what's not to love?! I first had this at the start of the summer when a friend bought it to a BBQ and I've been making it ever since. It's ridiculously easy and of course ridiculously yummy. Nigella is a goddess when it comes to recipes like these and I just know that it's one of those classics in our family now that will be requested time and time again. Just ignore the fact that it uses a whole jar of Nutella and you're all good! I find you have to have this with lots of fresh strawberries to cut through the richness and make sure it's served really cold from the fridge. Yay for summer evenings.

Sorry for the lack of blogging recently. Blame the sunshine! I kind of figured that the Autumn will be fast approaching with days and evenings spent curled up inside as it gets cooler and darker. So there will be more House/interior posts very soon! But for the last few weeks this is what I've been up to.. {aka I have all these photos on my phone that I need a home for}

We're still a long way from being finished but after living here for a week now, it's definitely feeling more like home. I need to get round to taking some proper photos of the bedroom, bathroom and lounge now that they're basically 'done' and write the full makeover transformation posts for them but for now I thought I'd quickly share a few before & after shots so far. {all iPhone I need to dig my camera out for the next lot}
