Oh, Italy. What a crazy magical week we had and it feels like forever ago already?? Sometimes I think I should blog whilst I'm away to really capture the excitement of it all as it happens. But when I'm on holiday the last thing I want to do is get a laptop out. And actually blogging after the event once I'm home and unpacked and back to reality is my favourite way to look back on the trip. Downloading all the photos, sorting through them, writing a travelogue and reliving it all finishes it all off. Let me go back to the beginning with this one, Ciao ROME! 

Ciao. If you've been following me on Instagram you'll have seen I was adventuring in Italy last week. We started in Rome and then made our way up to Florence, out to Tuscany and finished in Venice. It was such a magical week and I can't wait to share on the blog sometime soon. But for a now a little apology in the radio silence of late. 

And you may have noticed a new blog layout! It won't be 100% finished until next week until I meet up with the wonderful Jen who redesigned it all for me to tweak a couple of bits but I hope you like as much as I do. It was well overdue an overhaul.

For the meantime, have a lovely bank holiday weekend. We're off to Brighton today for my Brother's Birthday, I have a tonne of photos to sort and emails to reply to, I haven't unpacked yet and we really better think about finishing the house off! I'll be back with another update on it very soon. I think we'll spend this weekend DIY-ing and gardening!

Six weeks in already?? In some ways it feels like it's been a lifetime already but then I look back at the original photos {here} and realise just how much has changed in that time. You can see the update on week 2 here and week 4 here. And it's been a busy time all round with that long Easter weekend originally and then the bank holiday with numerous birthdays etc to slow us down along the way. We've also not worked any weekends on the house, just needing some time away from it. This week we want to crack on as we're off to Italy next week. Originally we really wanted to move in this week before we go away but there's just no way that will happen. And that's just to renovate three rooms {bedroom, lounge, bathroom} and the hallway.

Summer, summer, summer. Is that you? Will you stick around for a while please, say til like October time?? It's been so glorious recently and yesterday was a balmy 26 degrees! As a result I've been a bad blogger and there's so much to catch up on. A house update is coming soon, hopefully this afternoon or by tomorrow.
