Christmas // Gift-Giving with The White Company
December 07, 2018
It's not long until the big day - less than three weeks until the presents need to be wrapped and the stockings filled. I don't know about you but wrapping presents is one of my favourite parts of the season, (after the pigs in blankets of course...) I love choosing thoughtful gifts, sitting down with all of my wrapping supplies, to wrap everything up, then stacking them under the tree before Christmas Day arrives. And where other than The White Company for delightful gifts along with everything you could need for wrapping everything beautifully?
I normally try to do most of my shopping online with The White Company, it's so appealing to sit on the comfort of your sofa and tick everything off without having to leave the house.
But this year, I actually took a trip into store and forgot just how festive it feels to step into a beautifully Christmassy store and actually see everything laid out in front of you when deciding what to buy as gifts. There was so much inspiration to be had from the displays and it feels more personal to choose gifts like that rather than all online.
I can never resist this Winter scent for December, if you haven't tried it then it's pure Christmas in a candle.
I picked up some gifts for my friend's baby boy, my parents and family members. Not rushing for once, really taking my time to choose thoughtful gifts. Because at the end of the day, that's what really counts isn't it?
I know that my Mum would adore these starry pjs {as would I!}
Sweet stocking fillers and allll the gift wrap supplies by the tills.
The wrapping is one of the best bits for me. Every year, I take a couple of hours in an afternoon to sit down and get a little creative. Choosing colours/patterns of gift wrap {this year I've gone for this white paper with stars and joy/love calligraphy and this navy glitter specked paper} and then co-ordinating ribbons, twine and embellishments.
I really love these pom-pom present toppers to tie onto the middle of your bow to jazz things up a little along with these silver stars which will make presents feel that little bit more special. How gorgeous is this super soft cable knit stocking too? I often buy bits like this from The Little White Company range, decorations and the like as they have some gorgeous options in addition to the main range.
I've gone for this trio of ribbons on a roll, I like the varying widths and the fact you can use just one or mix and match/layer them up. I also really love adding some fresh greenery to presents which will either dry nicely under your tree if you're getting ahead or you can add fresh just before Christmas Eve. I've used eucalyptus and mimosa.
If you're looking for gift inspiration then The White Company is your hub for pretty much everyone. My Dad is famous for saying that he never wants anything from us for Christmas but when pushed he'll say 'ok, maybe some nice body wash'. I never listen to him and always want to spoil him but it's become a tradition to buy him some body wash, this Aspen range is perfect for men.
For those who love scent, or who are difficult to buy for, you can't go wrong with these Four Season Collections in both the candle votive sets and the mini diffusers. I like a gift that keeps on giving and this will take them through each season in the year ahead.
You also can't go wrong with this Luxury Spa Bath Oil for those who are tricky to buy for, or that you know who would love this. For a smaller, stocking filler, this Pomegranate candle wrapped as a Christmas limited edition will be sure to please. The Pomegranate scent is one of my favourites and perfect to take you from the festive season into Spring.
I know that my Mum will adore these slippers, and they were high on her Christmas list for this year. In fact, all of The White Company's slippers and cosy cashmere sock ranges are heavenly.
For little babies, the Little White Company are too adorable at this time of year with outfits a-plenty, sweet small gifts and practical-but-snuggly kind of gifts like this pom-pom hat for the cold months ahead or this soft robe with little ears on the hood. I've bought this for a friend's gorgeous baby.
Now, we can sit back and wait for Santa to arrive!
You can find everything online here.
Are you excited to get wrapping and enjoy the build up to Christmas?
