{Wild flowers popping up everywhere}

Happy Friday, it's a rainy one after all the sunshine this week but I've heard there's a heatwave on the way and we should be feeling hot by this time next week. Fingers crossed! Such a sunshine worshipper but secretly I'm kind of enjoying a rare cosy day inside at this time of year. Snuggled on the sofa as I type. This week has been fun, I love half term as nearly all of my friends are teachers so everyone has more time for coffee dates, dog walks and late bbqs where we stayed up talking for hours. Most afternoons I've been working from the garden, I've got a good set up now with a deckchair, my wifi booster and extension lead for blogging in the sunshine. This weekend Ben and I are planning to go into London for a date night tomorrow, Wahaca is one of our favourite places and we haven't been in a while. Other than that, think we'll have to see what the weather has in store. Hope you all have a good one. Next week I'm sharing some Florida holiday inspiration, a yummy recipe and a few ideas for up cycling candles. Over the summer I probably won't be posting as much on here, I still love it as a place for sharing my photos and being able to look back on but I always wanted to only blog when I feel inspired to, rather than feeling pressured to. And in the summer there just isn't enough time. Evenings that were once spent blogging from in front of the fire because it gets dark at 4pm are now spent at the allotment or at bbqs with friends or walking and enjoying the light evenings. I don't want to be tied to my laptop when I could be enjoying life. Not to say that I'm shutting down altogether, just less than I once did. Hope you'll understand xx

Friday night pizza night has been one of our traditions since we first got together. If we're not going out then we'll make pizzas together from scratch. Normally Ben's been busy at work so I just cook dinner in the week but at the weekend it's so nice to make the time to cook together. Ben's in charge of the dough, I do the sauce and toppings. They always taste so much better than any shop bought pizza and are pretty healthy too {not healthy in your gluten free cauliflower base type of way but life is too short to eat pizza with a crust made from vegetables...}. Last Friday it was warm enough to sit outside for dinner so I set the table for us and lit some tea lights in the garden.

{Feels like summer has officially started with long sunny evenings and daisies in the grass}

The second May bank holiday already?!! Crazy how time flies but yay for another bonus day off and it definitely feels like we've started summer now, I really caught the sun in the garden yesterday oops. How has your week been? The start of mine was busy in London with Bridal Fashion week and press days for Alex Monroe and Biscuiteers which was rather fun but also meant that my feet have hardly touched the ground since we've been back from Mauritius. It was also my Dad's big birthday {five oh} on Tuesday so we had a nice family BBQ and are getting prepared for a biggg party for him tomorrow night!

This weekend we're also planning a trip to Columbia Road Flower Market, it's officially peony season {!!!} We're going to a BBQ on Sunday evening and then hosting one on Monday evening {I'll be making an old favourite, Nigella's chocolate and raspberry pavlova}. A weekend to be filled with flowers, family and friends it seems! The best combination. Also on the allotment/garden front we want to try and find some time to get the rest of our seedlings planted, the courgettes and dahlias are ready to go out now and I want to try and find some room in the garden for giant cosmos! Have a lovely weekend, catch up next week with some new posts {or over Instagram no doubt!}

{Everything has suddenly grown so much, bring on the roses and peonies now!}

R <3 xx

Hello! I'm back in Blighty, although apologise in advance for another quiet week on the blog front. I have a crazy busy week with three days in London for wedding events for SYGM, my Dad's 50th birthday and that's before I've even unpacked, done some washing or started sorting out my photos! But from next week it will be back to normal and I can't wait to share our Mauritius trip. Such a dream. Anyway for today I thought I'd share some insight into the Rock my Style feature on our house that I was so thrilled to be a part of and I really love the photos compared to the Ideal Home feature.
