Christmas // The Decoration Edit

November 21, 2017

It may not feel particularly Christmassy yet but it's certainly getting there and December is just next week. It's also Black Friday in a few days and this week is your best week for online shopping with plenty of discount codes and reductions floating around. It's the best time to start thinking about purchasing any new Christmas decorations for your home because the minute you get into December absolutely everything is sold out decoration wise. It used to be that you can pick up loads of bargains between Christmas and New Year, but these days the shops don't want leftover stock so a) don't buy as much but b) start selling it all off cheap before Christmas. Even at the time of writing a lot of things I'd had my eye on had sold out. But I've made sure that all of the items below are available, some are reduced though so be quick! It's my edit of my favourite decorations for the season, and some gift wrap thrown in too. There are some really beautiful things, to decorate your tree or drape around your home. I love this time of year, so much sparkle, so much magic.

{because you can never have too much sparkle}

Copper gift wrap with this gorgeous string. Or this gift wrap for an into the woods kinda feel for something a little different.

Copper starry tags to make your brown paper wrapped presents pack a punch.

Shiny on trend baubles, I like that these are mini to mix in with some bigger pieces.

I started collecting nutcrackers over the last couple of years for a display. I have the classic red & white and a dark navy one for our snug but this gold one is now top of my list.

Talking of nutcrackers, this mini gold version for your tree! Super cute and charming.

Copper tinged geometric baubles.

Or this gold glittery stag? In the sale, go!

I think this candle holder be a year round purchase rather than just out for Christmas, plus there's an extra 40% off site wide with the code BLACKFRIDAY making it, and everything else, a bargain. See also this tealight holder, again year round but perfect for Christmas and this.

THE decoration of the season that everyone on Instagram is going crazy for. I can't wait to hang mine up.

Starry metallic garlands to string up off your mantelpiece or over your cooker hood.

A luxurious velvet navy stocking that costs just £12 yet looks a lot more expensive

I adore anything antique mercury glass like these sweet stars to hang from the tree or this white porcelain set.

Beautiful glass beaded snowflakes. These are some of my most prized decorations hanging from our tree.

These hanging snowflakes are one of my favourite things I've ordered for this year's tree.

Burnished gold hanging snowflakes. Good value for the amount that you get.

These hanging lit laser cut snowflakes, I bought some v similar to this the other day but they're plug in annoyingly so you have wires trailing. These battery powered lanterns are much better, and would look so pretty lighting up a dark corner.

Truly beautiful, a jewelled snowflake to hang from your tree. On the top of my list.

Something a little more on trend for your tree?

Pineapple gift wrap, because why not?

The year of the flamingo, these glass baubles are fun and these are a more classy version that could look amazing hanging from your tree. Especially with the gold ribbon next to them!

Not just for Christmas, this gold pineapple candle holder will be perfect year round. And in the sale!

A very real looking garland for your stairs or mantle. I'm using mine in the snug on the fireplace this year.

I wouldn't have thought of sage green baubles for a tree, they'd blend in too much or would it be a subtle shimmer? but  these classy glass baubles are gorgeous.

Of course, there's nothing like a real bunch of mistletoe but it never lasts for long. This, good looking faux version/bunch is in the sale and will last year after year.

This whole collection has a botanical, greenery feel but with some sparkle to make it feel properly festive.

And finally, it doesn't really fit into any of these categories but this light up pom pom garland is the dream!

Cox & Cox also are killing it this year with this collection.

Happy Shopping! I *think* we might put our tree up this weekend! Especially after seeing this study that putting your decs up early makes you happier. So you've got a good excuse now!

  3. Such a good list! Definitely a few bits here I'll be picking up, particularly love the mistletoe and light up stars.
My absolute favourite garland is from good ol' costco! My mum picked it up for me last year and its so thick and realistic, looks amazing draped over the mantle. I'm thinking about getting another to decorate the stair rail this year.
