Happy Weekend // Is Spring here at last?

March 23, 2018

Happy Friday! And hello again, sorry for being a little quiet on here recently, if you've seen my Instagram you'll know that we've just got back from Sri Lanka! A magical week filled with palm trees, pink sunsets, elephant safaris and seriously good food. I'll be back with the travelogues for that next week. But in the meantime, although we had such an incredible time away, I'm really excited to be back home for a while. It's my Birthday next week {eek!}, the long Easter weekend, the clocks change on Sunday & I'm hoping we'll feel like Spring has arrived at last? I'm sharing some photos below that I didn't get round to sharing before we left last week and talking about the past few weeks/looking forward to the next;

Pink blooms for Mother's Day and my Grandparent's 60th {!!} wedding anniversary.

It felt so good after all the snow to have a day of sunshine. I also had a miserable couple of weeks with bronchitis where I felt completely wiped out. So on a sunny Sunday when I was feeling a lot better, getting out to Richmond for a day felt like a real tonic. It's one of our favourite places and it had been ages since we'd last been.

Petersham Nurseries.

The first blossom!

This view never gets old, I love seeing it {and photographing it} in all seasons.

Hello March. This month has gone in a flash! It's always a favourite month of mine though, I guess I'm biased with my Birthday falling on the 28th of it but it definitely signals the start of Spring.

Mini eggs. On everything. These were brownies for my friend's Birthday.

A new Moroccan throw for our bedroom from Hammam & Home.

A Sunday car pic.

Weekend flower rituals. With my new bag {online here}

{faux} magnolia blossom to fill the kitchen with.

All the patterns.

I'll be sharing a full update to our latest project next week & share the tutorial for our panelling so far. It was a packed week with Ben's team and our favourite decorator in last week to crack on with the the new bedroom. It's partly why I'm so eager to get home too to get it finished!

We've been out in the greenhouse potting on some dahlias. There's SO much we want to do with the garden & allotment this year, I might write a whole post on that? In the meantime you can find my recent garden blog posts here.

Also, our garden was featured on Houzz this week with the full before & after. You can find the link here if you fancy a read.

Spring update on our front doorstep.

The beast from the east. Snow in March! {I hear there was another round of it whilst we were away?!}. Please warm up properly soon!

Weekend treats.

Another mini project, new fencing and creating a new area of the patio. I think our Easter weekend will be a busy one. I want to go and look for some pleached trees too to cover that trellis {and scruffy next door!}

Brunch & Blooms a few Sunday's ago.

Remember this top from last year? Still a favourite.

Tropical Sri Lankan happy memories from last week. Full set of photos coming soon! {and I print these mini polaroids with this}

How have you been? What have you been up to? Have a lovely weekend, we're hosting an early Easter/Birthday lunch on Sunday for my family. And Ben & I have decided to make a Birthday cake this year, I thought it would be cute to do it together & he's got such an eye for presentation! We'll see how it goes but we take Birthday's very seriously in my family so expect me to drag it out across a whole week!

Back soon talking Sri Lanka & Panelling! Any other requests please feel free to get in touch. I also want to put together a Spring/Summer clothing post v soon!
