A slightly different post from me today, as promised a post on our new superfood smoothie that we're making almost daily at the moment. Skip if you don't want to hear me waffling on about food and our January resolutions!

Yesterday we woke up to a Winter Wonderland! I'd seen snowflakes forecast on my weather app but they usually don't come to much so this was a welcome surprise on a Sunday morning as we pulled up the blinds. We chucked lots of layers and knitwear on before rushing to my parents to grab the pup and head out into the fields. I can't believe how quickly it came and went, by the afternoon it had all disappeared and everywhere looked green and bare again. Amazing how much a dusting of the white stuff can make everywhere look so pretty, I especially love it coating the trees. Happy Friday! This has felt like the first week of normality after all Christmas break and then our trip last week. I've eased myself back into work and all the admin and emails that come with it but mainly it's been a quiet week which I've appreciated! Back to a routine, regular workouts, spin classes and pilates sessions as well as some lovely walks with the pup. I've fillled the house with fresh Spring flowers to make January a bit cheerier and caught up with friends and family. I've just got back from a yummy lunch with my sister in law. Yay for the weekend, we're making our favourite pizzas tonight {recipe here} and tomorrow we're off to visit my brother in Brighton for the day which I'm really looking forward to. Then back for a girls night out in St Albans for my lovely friend Steph's Birthday. Sunday will be chilled out and low-key I think! Following on from Part 1 {here}, some more photos from our cosy week in The Cotswolds and some recommendations on what to do there.

You may remember that last year, in the first week of January, we went to Norfolk {here} and the year before that was the Lake District {here}. Continuing the tradition, and not knowing what else to get each other for Christmas, we stayed in The Cotswolds last week. It was such a relaxing, cosy time and I love starting the year off with a little trip! After all the Christmas and New Year madness, it's so so lovely to spend a week just the two of us somewhere pretty and to really think about the year ahead.
