Travel - Emerald Bay, The Bahamas

February 14, 2016

I've been plotting ever since we got home just how quickly I can beam myself back to the Bahamas. It was such a dreamy week, made even better by having the warmest sunshine in the middle of Winter. A much needed Vitamin D boost and a week of romance with Ben after a busy January.  I've written about the resort Sandals Emerald Bay over on So You're Getting Married {here} but I wanted to post some {ok, quite a few} of our more personal holiday snaps below. Including some of my favourites at the very end if you'd like to see...

Flying over was when the excitement really began. Those islands, that water!!

It was a lazy week in the sunshine with our butlers bringing us fresh coconuts everyday. Can you believe we were at an all inclusive resort but don't drink a drop of alcohol?!

Palm trees, the softest sand and blue skies all day long. I loved this boardwalk.

Our days were spent between the beach, pool and hammocks with one afternoon at the spa and a morning out on a boat trip to Stocking Island.

Tropical paradise.

Yummy lunches of shrimp caesar salads and fish tacos most days.

Followed by a trip to Cafe de Paris about twice a day for the most amazing sweet treats..

Our trip out to the sandbank and Stocking Island with legendary Captain Steven and a cute old American couple.

The water was so clear and the bluest we've ever seen. Sailing out to the sandbank and being greeted by a starfish doesn't happen everyday!

Spotting sting rays in the clear water...

.. and then snorkelling with them

Ben's office for the week! A poolside cabana.

Sunny happy days by the pool and then late afternoon walks along the beach before swinging in a hammock, reading books for hours.

Sandals at sandals ;)

I borrowed a Butler's bike for an afternoon

We couldn't leave without drawing a heart, or a few, in the sand for Sandals.

In the evenings, after the sky turned pink and the sun had set we'd go and sit by a fire pit before dinner.

And some professional shots, some of which I really love!

A week to remember forever. And boy does it beat rainy, cold, busy England..

Sandals Emerald Bay we love you.
