Fashion // New Season Dressing with Joules Clothing

July 24, 2018

I feel like all I do this summer is talk about, what feels like, a never ending heatwave. But honestly, how amazing has it been? It's meant though that I've worn so many of my summer clothes to death, and often lots of pieces that I normally only wear on holiday! I was itching for the sales to get over and done with and for some new pieces to come in, ready for that transition into the end of summer {surely it will start raining/get cooler at some point?!} and I really love thinking ahead into early Autumn, getting excited for a new upcoming season and one day, wearing knitwear again. Joules, one of my longterm favourite brands, got in touch to ask if I'd like to share some of my favourite picks for the new season and there were so many gorgeous pieces to choose from! You can get an idea for the new season below;

For late summer, when the days are still warm but there's a slight shift, I really adore this long line Rivalie striped dress. For beach days, days running around town or just to chuck on at home, it's a really easy to wear dress that's the perfect length. {and then for chillier days, there's this warmer version with 3/4 length sleeves}

Can we talk about THIS oxblood saddle bag?! Joules have really upped their handbag game this season. And when the time comes to stop using your summer basket, you'll appreciate their new range of 100% leather smart bags. There are some bigger, dare I say almost Mulberry esque Bayswater style bags like these which look amazing. And new updated rucksacks for this season, like the one I used alll Spring. But I really love this smaller sized bag with an adjustable strap to wear over your body hands free, slip over your shoulder or hold as a bag. It's got a clever adjustable popper.

I'm obsessed with the colour, which will work through into autumn, winter and beyond. A little more interesting than my usual tan choices. And the details make it feel really luxurious with the gold bee lining, the dust bag it comes with and the pockets to keep everything organised. I can see myself using this for years and years.

Shoes! Whilst there's a big focus on new welly styles in all different patterns {and later on, dream new boots like I spotted at their A/W press day recently}, these statement leather lace up trainers will take you through the in between stages. For wearing with jeans or with a dress, the soft pink colour with detailing at the back are really gorgeous.

It will HAVE to rain sometime soon?! I'll probably jinx it now I have these snazzy new bumble bee wellies and it will rain for the whole of August!. Mid height {my new favourite, they keep your jeans from getting muddy/wet but aren't too restrictive or heavy for long walks}, bright yellow for splashing in puddles and covered in bumble bees. Enough said. I love that these will be just as perfect for Autumn with those tones along with Spring and I expect they'll be super popular with everybody going mad for the latest bumble bee trend.

Obsessed {online here}.

Along with this matching pack-away poncho. For those hot late August downpours where you don't want to wear, or carry a coat, but this will fit in a pocket or your bag to keep you dry. Or look cute hanging in your boot room!

Accessories.

You know me and embroidery by now and the fact that there's no way I'd be able to resist this pretty sleeveless vest with an A-line shape. For wearing with jeans, denim shorts, or these easy wearing stretchy chino shorts

And then, for September, I'm coveting this mustard jumper and there was a lambswool soft star print jumper I had my eye on which has sold out once already which I know you'd most likely love too! I'm waiting until it's back...
