Slutty Brownies. {Cookie Dough and Oreo Fudge Brownies}

February 12, 2015

I've seen these brownies, from The Londoner, making the rounds on the internet for a few years now but never got round to trying them. It's a layer of cookie dough topped with Oreos and then gooey fudge brownie on top of that. Pure heaven. I needed an occasion where they'd get eaten quickly by lots of people rather than Ben and I being left alone with them and probably waking up ten stone heavier the next day. My god, they're good. And ridiculously easy. You have to try them. Obviously I'm all for Deliciously Ella recipes and the like, people call me a health freak but sometimes you just need desserts like this in your life. So, what are you waiting for?

You can make your own cookie dough and brownie mix from scratch but why bother when Betty Crocker can be your best friend?

You will need:
One box of Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
One box of Betty Crocker Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix
2 packets of Oreos, I used one double stuff, one regular
2 eggs
Some oil
Some water

- Preheat the oven to 180c/Gas 6
Simply make up the cookie dough mix as per the instructions on the back of the box, adding a spoonful more of both oil and egg as it will be baked for longer than normal. Pat it down into the bottom of a tin, I used one that was 30 x 30cm square lined with baking paper.

- Add a layer of oreos on top of your cookie dough.

- Make up the brownie mix as per the back of the box, no extra water needed this time. Then pour this on top of your oreos and cookie dough, spreading it out to the edges.

Bake for 30 minutes, you want the brownie to still be a bit gooey in the middle. Leave to cool for a while and then lift out to cut whilst still squidgy.

Best served warm with vanilla ice cream. {If you're making in advance just microwave for 30 seconds to warm them up again}

So, what tastes better? These or brownies made with sweet potatoes?! ;) There's a time and a place for both but for pure sluttiness, these win hands down.
